Call for Papers
Data Mining deals with the use of data analysis techniques and methodologies
in the design, development and assessment of data and information systems for
biomedical computing. The goal of this workshop is to share research solutions
using data mining approaches to problems of today's biomedical literature and to
identify new issues and directions for future research in biomedical literature
mining. Techniques and Methodologies proposed in this workshop will help
addressing two major challenges to incorporate this vast biological knowledge
into the data mining cycle: (i) designing efficient the text mining frameworks;
and (ii) adapting existing text mining algorithms to understand constantly
varying and changing biomedical data. In this workshop we hope to present to the
audience, the state-of-the-art frameworks for bringing the background biomedical
knowledge into the pattern recognition task for biomedical literature.
Authors are invited to
submit original papers to the workshop exploring text mining theories,
techniques, and applications for Bioinformatics. Papers are invited (but not
